About Sara
Sara McKeen brings over 15 years of professional experience with children in their early years to her work as a parent coach. Sara is an early childhood school psychologist with over eight years of experience supporting children and families in the Montgomery County Public Schools system. Prior to becoming a school psychologist Sara worked as an elementary school teacher in Anne Arundel County Public Schools and Madison County Public Schools. Sara graduated from Washington and Lee University (W&L) with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. She holds a Masters Degree and Certificate of Advanced Study in School Psychology from Towson University. Sara’s background also includes experiencing Montessori as a parent and practitioner and a career-long focus on early childhood development.
Sara believes that the life-long opportunity to guide and support a child’s personal and social development begins in infancy and that parents deserve support tailored to their unique challenges at every stage. Her approach emphasizes clear communication, cultural competence, and practical strategies that families can integrate into their daily lives.
In her coaching practice, "Keenly Guided Parenting," Sara draws on her professional experience and practical experience as a mom of two. She offers one-on-one and group support to help parents build confidence, reduce stress, and create more peaceful, connected homes.
